Oh. Boy.

I'm trying to catch up on grading, and gradually I noticed things getting louder and louder across the street. Seems there is some kind of protest going on, perhaps at the technical school located directly opposite from our building. So far, its been going on for about 30 minutes.

We are being treated to drumming, (constant), cow bells, whistles, chants, screams and enthusiastic singing. Oh, and vehicle horn beeping, although I'm not sure if that isn't part of the normal cacophony of honks that happen on Alvarez. Thank goodness they don't have vuvuzelas out there. Maybe those are being saved for the World Cup.
